    Alongside Taurus Healthcare, we wanted to understand how an enhanced access service for general practice could offer even more flexibility and availability for appointments both in and out of GP hours.

    We conducted semi-structured interviews with GPs/GP practice staff from Hereford Medical Group, community pharmacy teams, and patients to evaluate the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS).

    We engaged with over 675 people to gather opinions on a new approach to dental commissioning and identify key areas of importance in accessing dental care.

    In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Healthwatch Herefordshire developed a survey (based on a Healthwatch England template) to gather views and experiences of Herefordshire residents on health and social care services during this challenging period.

    We consulted with 3898 young people to identify local knowledge gaps and to learn more about young people’s experiences of using mental health services in Herefordshire. improvement.

    The dental health of children in Herefordshire is poorer than the national and regional average. In January- March 2018 Healthwatch spoke to 522 people about children’s dental health in the county. Read about what people said, our findings and our recommendations in the report.

    Between March-June 2019, Healthwatch Herefordshire and Healthwatch Worcestershire gathered views across both counties on local NHS priorities featured in the NHS Long-Term Plan.

    Healthwatch took part in Crucial Crew, a school’s safety day coordinated by the West Mercia Police every year for all year six children in the county.

    Wye Valley trust are currently reviewing Outpatients services and Healthwatch Herefordshire has undertaken an exercise to ask patients about their experience of using the service in the last 6 months.

    From 11 – 22 March 2019, we undertook several Enter & View visits at Hereford County Hospital. We were gathering views and experiences of patients using outpatient clinics at the hospital.

    The Living With and Beyond Cancer team of Wye Valley Trust and Macmillan jointly hosted two focus groups in Hereford with Healthwatch, for people who have or have had cancer and family and friends to share their experiences and views on cancer care.

    During 2020- 2021 we worked with Herefordshire's Macmillan Cancer Lead and students at Hereford College of Arts to develop a cervical screening awareness campaign that was inclusive to all.

    Healthwatch created reasonable adjustment guidance for Hidden Disabilities.
    Guidance sheets include those for: cancer, dyslexia, diabetes, asthma, back impairment, allergies, epilepsy, agrophobia, heart impairment, fibromyalgia, HIV/Aids, M.E. and chronic fatigue, repetitive strain injury, migraines, sickle cell and raynaud's phenonomen.

    Healthwatch Herefordshire carried out this project in partnership with Wye Valley Trust. We gathered views and experiences of Herefordshire people that have experienced Heart Failure rehabilitation. We looked at ongoing self-management and engagements in Heart Failure care.

    Healthwatch has created reasonable adjustment guidance for those with a brain injury.

    Healthwatch created reasonable adjustment guidance for those with physical disabilities. This includes guidance for cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, muscular dystrophy, disfigurement, mobility impairment and obesity.

    Healthwatch Herefordshire shared our findings from those who received a service from the Home from Hospital pilot that was co-ordinated by Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire in 2023.

    Healthwatch Herefordshire carried out this project in partnership with Taurus Healthcare and WBC (Wargrave, Cantilupe and Belmont) and gathered the views and experiences of 40 people with that have experienced annual learning disability health checks and covid vaccines in Herefordshire.

    Healthwatch Herefordshire carried out this project in partnership with Wye Valley Trust to gather the views and experiences of Herefordshire people that have experienced Cancer treatment in Herefordshire.

    Together with Mencap, Healthwatch Herefordshire identified a need for those with a learning disability to have a bigger say in what matters to them. We also identified a need for the development of a larger pool of people with learning disabilities for services to consult with.

    ADHD is a disorder that is defined through analysis of behaviour. People with ADHD show a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with day-to-day functioning and/or development.

    We spoke to 18 individuals about their ADHD journey and 5 parents about their child's ADHD journey, looking at the wider impacts it has had on the individuals and their family.
